You are Real Truth

By Kapil Kakar

What is Real?

Real is changeless. It never changes. Like Truth never changes. On the contrary we see Universe, Solar system, Time, Space moving or changing. We also see Things, Situations and Circumstances around us changing all the time. Even our Moods, Attitudes, Perception, Thoughts, Judgment, Abilities, Energy Level, Faith etc keeps on changing continuously.

You are neither the thought, energy nor any of the above mentioned things. You are real and different from all this since you are changeless. And this is what makes you special and extraordinary. Therefore being special you never change though you may think or feel that you have changed. But again remember that you are neither feeling nor thought but you are the Soul (Consciousness), the real self of God who never changes though you feel you are changing all the time.

Why you feel that you change all the time? It is because you have associated yourself seriously with Attachments which are Material objects (Your temporary Desires), Senses (Eye, Skin, Ears, Tongue and Nose through which you see, Touch, Hear, Taste and Smell respectively), Mind and Intelligence (Discriminatory Faculty). In fact these attachments are variable and they keep on changing, replacing your old beliefs, point of views, thoughts with new one which sooner or later become old and eventually change. This act is being performed by you the Soul who initially consciously use these attachments as tools to satisfy their Desires and Lust which never seem to stop.

Slowly the attachments start influencing the soul and most often than not confuses soul of its real identity. Since these attachments are variable and keep on changing the soul hence being associated with them thinks that it is changing and is not constant. This make people think that they are born and they die though as stated in Bhagvad Gita soul is never born and it never dies. Below given texts from Bhagvad Gita will say it all.

In Text 20 Ch-II Lord Krishna Says “ For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.”

In Text 23 Ch-II Lord Krishna Says “The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by wind.”

In Text 24 Ch-II Lors Krishna Furher says “The individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can neither be burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.”

You have to see yourself in distinction from all these attachment. Surely it is not an easy job as you have got into the habit of viewing yourself with these attachments. But if you want to see the Real you, your original self which is Supreme and Potent, i.e. to come back to your original form you will have to change yourself backwards. It is like an artist who puts makeup and starts associating self with the new form he has acquired because of make up (Attachment). Then he adds or changes the makeup deliberately or the make up wears out and result is a new or different form. In the process he forgets how originally he used to look like and so he starts believing the changed or make up form to be original form and concludes that he is changing not realizing the makeup which he is applying is bringing apparent change in him. But when the artist realizes that he had put on the make up and he is not the real person with the make up he tries doing away with it and if is persistent is able to know his true self once again. Now when he is without make up once again he realizes that the fact is that he never changed though he always thought he was changing.

We always get up in morning with different Moods, Responsibilities, Authorities, Judgments and Attitudes. But you the Soul (Consciousness) is always the same. You the consciousness remains the same every movement that is to state one again that it is fixed and is changeless.

Remember you are special that is why you are changeless, a quality which no one
can take from you.
